How long does an STI Test appointment take?

Most appointments take around 10 to 15 minutes. If you have any questions about STIs then please call our team who are available 24/7.

Do I need a referral letter from my doctor?

No referral letter is needed. As your private provider of testing, we manage everything that you need for the test from the appointment, testing, and results reporting. We are here to help you as efficiently as we can.

Do I need to fast or follow and special instructions before my test?

There are no fasting requirements before your tests. If you have a urine test, please try not to use the loo for two hours before your test.

What is the cost of the doctor consultation?

Doctors' consultations are included in the cost of your test. These may be delivered in person or remotely.

Can payment be made at the clinic or on arrival?

All appointments must be booked and paid for in advance. We are sorry that we do not take payments at the clinic. You can pay by Mastercard, Visa, AMEX or by bank transfer.

What does the Comfort Screen test for?

Our Comfort Screen will detect:

Urine Analysis: Chemistry and Microscope Examination

The Urine Analysis will test your urine chemistry and look at a sample under a microscope to look for any signs of any other infection.

For a discounted price, you can add other STIs to this screen if you would like. They will, however, need a blood or swab sample.

What will happen at my appointment?

Your clinician will ask you to provide a urine sample. While you do not need to fast, you may find it helpful to not visit the toilet for the two hours leading up to your appointment to make sure you can provide a sample.

How will I get my results?

All your results will be uploaded to your secure patient area of the Better2Know website. Results are reported confidentially. You can check their progress at any time using a login we send to you upon booking. We will also notify you by email or SMS once they are all ready. Our dedicated staff can also call you to discuss your results if you prefer.

What if my results reveal that I have an STI?

We will help you get the treatment that you need. All the STIs in the Comfort Screen are curable, with the exception of Herpes, which is managed by medication. You can speak to one of our experienced doctors who can prescribe you the medication that you need quickly and efficiently.
