Why should I worry about STIs?
STIs are a significant public health concern in India. If left untreated, these infections can have severe and lasting consequences on your overall health and well-being.
Many STIs, such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV, and Syphilis, can lead to negative health complications, including infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and an increased risk of contracting other infections, such as HIV.
Call the number at the top of this page to speak to a member of our Patient Services team to schedule an appointment at a local sexual health clinic.
Are STI tests different for men and women?
The requirements for most of Better2Know’s tests and screens are the same for men and women. Most of our tests require blood and urine samples. The patient collects urine samples in containers, and medical professionals will take blood samples at our sexual health clinic.
However, swab samples may be required to test for certain infections. Intimate swabs for women can be uncomfortable, so the majority of our sample collection methods involve blood or urine samples.
If you have any questions about the sample collection process, please call our Gurugram helpline to speak to our friendly and knowledgeable Patient Services team.
