Who is the Hepatitis B test for?

Hepatitis B is passed on through blood-to-blood contact. This Better2Know test has been designed for men and women who may have been exposed to blood and are concerned that they might have an infection.

What does the test include?

The test detects the presence of the Hepatitis B Surface Antigens. These are detectable during a Hepatitis B infection.

This test has a 28-day incubation period. Please wait 28 days between any sexual encounter or any blood or needle stick injury you are worried about and having this test.

How do I book my appointment?

What can I expect at my clinic appointment?

When you arrive at your clinic for your appointment, a clinician will collect your sample.

After your sample is taken, it is sent to our certified laboratory for testing. Results are usually ready one day after your sample is received in the testing laboratory.

How will I receive my results?

Your results will be available on your secure online Patient Area. You will be notified when they are ready by your choice of SMS, phone call, or email.

What if I test positive?
