What is the PCR Testing Method?
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a testing technique that allows the laboratory to find a specific RNA when it is present in very small quantities. It extracts and amplifies the genetic material from the sample to detect the presence of an infection, in this case, HIV.
