What samples do I need to provide for my STI test?

Better2Know’s STD tests and screens require a blood sample, urine sample, or swab sample, and most screens require a combination of these.

We understand that some people may feel uncomfortable providing an intimate swab, so most tests and screens only require blood and urine samples. Swabs are only necessary in specific situations when testing for certain infections.

A trained medical professional will collect any required blood samples during your appointment. If a urine sample or swab is needed, you will receive clear instructions on collecting it for your chosen tests.
