How long does an STI Test appointment take?

Most appointments take around 10 to 15 minutes. If you have any questions about STIs then please call our team who are available 24/7.

Do I need a referral letter from my doctor?

No referral letter is needed. As your private provider of testing, we manage everything that you need for the test from the appointment, testing, and results reporting. We are here to help you as efficiently as we can.

Do I need to fast or follow and special instructions before my test?

There are no fasting requirements before your tests. If you have a urine test, please try not to use the loo for two hours before your test.

What is the cost of the doctor consultation?

Doctors' consultations are included in the cost of your test. These may be delivered in person or remotely.

Can payment be made at the clinic or on arrival?

All appointments must be booked and paid for in advance. We are sorry that we do not take payments at the clinic. You can pay by Mastercard, Visa, AMEX or by bank transfer.

You will be welcomed by a qualified clinician who will collect the necessary blood and urine samples for analysis.
There are no painful or embarrassing swabs associated with the Better2Know Full Screen.
To ensure you can produce a urine sample for your test, please refrain from using the bathroom for two hours prior your private appointment.
There are no dietary or fasting requirements associated with this screen.

How will I get my results?

Your results will be uploaded onto your patient login area, which is accessible 24/7 on the Better2Know website. This secure service allows you to check your results at any time. Results are completely confidential, and your patient details will not appear in your patient area. We will send you an SMS or email, or call you when all your results are ready to report.

What if my results reveal that I have an STI?

Better2Know will be beside you to help. Many STIs are curable and our expert advisors can help you get the treatment you need. Our dedicated advisors can organise a private consultation with a doctor, who can prescribe the necessary course of medication for you.
