Who is the Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea by Vaginal Swab for?
This test is for women who suspect they may have either a Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea infection in their vagina. This test can be used as an alternative to a urine test.
If you think you have a Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea infection in your throat or rectum, you should get the Better2Know Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea throat or rectal swab tests. These swabs will provide accurate results for infection in these specific areas.
What does this test include?
The test includes your appointment, results reporting and consultation with a doctor, if you test positive. You will need to pay for any medication you need.
How does testing work?
This test detects the genetic material of the Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea bacteria that causes infection in your swab sample.
If you have symptoms, you should get tested straight away. Otherwise please wait at least 14 days from when you last had sex before getting tested to ensure reliable results.
How do I book my appointment?

What can I expect at my appointment?
When you get to the clinic for your appointment, you will be taken to a discreet consultation room where a medical professional will discuss with you how to collect the swab sample. You will be invited to collect the swab yourself in private.
What happens to my sample?
Once you have collected your sample, we will send it to our certified laboratory for testing. It takes between 2-5 working days for the results to become available after the laboratory receives your sample.
How will I receive my results?
When your results are ready, we will notify you through your choice of email, phone, or text message. You can then access them in your secure online patient area.
What if I test positive?
